PROGRAM:\nChildren’s Corner Suite – Claude Debussy\, Sonata in D minor (The Tempest)\, Op. 32 No. 2 – Ludwig van Beethoven & 24 Preludes\, Op. 28 – Frederic Chopin.\nEdward Kortis studied piano & composition at Boston University School of Fine & Applied Arts. Upon graduating\, he continued his academic work at NYU Graduate School of Music completing with a Master’s Degree.  Edward Kortis has been teaching piano privately for 25 years in New York.  Performing history – recitals at Middle Collegiate Church\, The Friends Meeting House\, New York University & Steinway Hall (the Leschetitsky Society); accompanist for vocalists & choruses including The Local 1199/SEIU Retired Peoples’ Chorus\, NYC Labor Chorus\, Jewish Peoples’ Philharmonic Chorus\, De Goldene Keyt\, baritone Peter Schlosser\, NYU New Music Ensemble & volunteer work with The Louis Armstrong Institute for Music & Medicine; musical theatre (composer\, music director\, arranger\, accompanist).\nConcert Charge – $15.00 Suggested – at the door.\nRefreshments provided by Project 142.               \n
