Eleanor has found the tender edge where jazz\, world & pop sensibilities meet emotionally forthright songwriting. Composing in English\, French & Spanish\, Eleanor is noted for her soothing\, sultry vocals\, enlivened by Latin\, Brazilian\, American & West African rhythms. A recent review of Soft Spot Of My Heart: “Soft Spot Of My Heart is a cerebral\, thought-provoking & enchanting album that has the capacity to captivate. It is full of melodic & memorable music which Eleanor Dubinsky delivers against a series of carefully crafted & polished arrangements….poignant\, powerful & thought-provoking.” Derek’s Music Blog\nJazz Weekly writes: “Female vocalist displaying charm & flexibility. Not only does Eleanor Dubinsky sing on this album with Rolando Semedo (bass)\, Frank Ponzio (piano)\, Wesley Amorim (guitar)\, Ivo Costa (drums) & Miroca Paris (percussion)\, but she composes the wide ranging selection of tunes. Her voice has a folksy casualness to it\, being confessional with Ponzio on “Free Again” & comfortingly poppish on “Turn It Around”. Sarah Abigael Stone’s cello adds drama to Dubinsky’s vocal climax on “I Let Go” whereas the nylon strings add droplets of dew on the tensile “Wait For You”. Some international lyrics as she gets Spanish on “El Sabor De La Vida” & Iberian for “Cuando Voy A Mi Trabajo” displaying a calm & assuring charm all throughout this alluring session.” \nConcert Donation –\n$20.00 General Admission / $10.00 Students & Seniors (cash at the door please)\nAdvance Online Tickets via Brown Paper Tickets –\nwww.brownpapertickets.com/event/3383581 \nRefreshments provided by Project 142 & Eleanor Dubinsky\nStreet parking after 7:00p.m.\nSubway Stop for DiMenna Center area – 7 Line (Hudson Yards Stop – West 34th St. & 11th Ave.)\nwww.mta.info\nProject 142 Concert Series is a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Organization –\nALL DONATIONS tax deductible – www.project142.org \n
